effective helps the Akwaaba charity scale Kilimanjaro

A team of eleven from the Akwaaba charity climbed Mount Kilimanjaro via the Machame route and successfully reached the summit early on Friday of last week.

As ever dealing with the altitude and the changing temperatures were the biggest challenges for the team. Lead by Jordan and King from Akwaaba the volunteer fundraisers were all able to make it to the top of the iconic mountain.

The funds raised will go towards supporting education for underprivileged children in Accra, Ghana and the continuation of the Akwaaba sports programs which are working with 150 children every day in various locations.

Well done to the whole team. We are proud to have been a part of this important fundraising activity.

Akwaaba Volunteers have been operating in Ghana since 2016 working with over 1000 young people and families in the local community. The team offer the opportunity for local children to enjoy life changing experiences and create a better future for young people in Ghana.
